Residents of Oshodi were gripped with shock as a tanker conveying petroleum products exploded at Toyota bus-stop along Oshodi-Apapa Express Way in the early hours of today.
According to eyewitness reports, the tanker somersaulted before bursting into flames. The inferno which gutted both lanes at Toyota bus-stop, resulted in a grid-lock along the Expressway. Vehicular movement was restricted and commuters diverted to the service lane.
Although no casualties have been confirmed at this report but the Lagos State Fire Service was on ground to put the fire under control.
