In line with the state government’s directive, Isolo LCDA has inaugurated Emergency Preparedness Response Team (EPRT) to act swiftly against emerging public health incidents.
The inauguration which took place few days back came into being in light of the recent Coronavirus Epidemic and Lassa Fever Pandemic ravaging the country and across the world.
Isolo LCDA is classified as a high-risk settlement because of its proximity to the International Airport and the Apapa Seaport- two entry points through which foreigners come into the country.
Isolo LCDA Executive Chairman, Hon Shamsudeen Abiodun Olaleye is the Chairman and Resident Manager of the EPRT in Isolo with the mandate to monitor public health situation in the council area and to mobilise human and material resources in the event of emergencies.
In his acceptance speech, Hon Olaleye pledged to support the Primary Health Care Department in ensuring materials are readily available for any public health emergencies in Isolo LCDA.
