Top Nigerian songstress, Yemi Alade has taken to her social media platform to reveal how the lockdown has affected her positively.

The beautiful singer in a tweet she put out, said she spent more time traveling than living in her home prior to the lockdown but now, she just started to live in her home fully for the first time.

Alade revealed she used to spend more time out of it as she was always traveling, described the feeling of staying at home as a good feeling.

She tweeted: “Mehn, I’m just realising that even though I have always had a house, I only just started to LIVE in it and call it home. I spent more time at airports and in Airplanes. Even though I truly miss spending time on stage, it feels good to be at home (in a way) and I’m thankful.”

Yemi Eberechi Alade, known professionally as Yemi Alade, is a Nigerian Afro pop singer and songwriter. She gained prominence after winning the Peak Talent Show in 2009, and is best known for her hit single “Johnny”.
Yemi Eberechi Alade was born in Abia State, Nigeria, to James Alade and Helen Uzoma. Her father is a police commissioner of Yoruba descent while her mother is of Igbo descent, resulting in her being referred to as the Yoruba-Igbo girl.

A native of Ondo State, South West, Nigeria, Alade is the fifth born of seven children in her family. She went to St. Saviour British Primary School and later attended Victory Grammar School in Lagos. Alade studied geography at the University of Lagos.
