Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Olabisi Oluseyi Okuwobi is the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Ejigbo. She is a distinguished amazon who has made a mark for herself as a police officer. She is diligent and carries her duty with every sense of responsibility. She is proactive and a trailblazer. Okuwobi has risen through the ranks and is a pacesetter.

Okuwobi is no doubt an icon of the Nigeria Police Force whose activities and antecedents will find a prominent portion in the annals of the history of super cops. Her ascendancy to the top echelon of productive police officers in Nigeria is traceable to her track record of passion, diligence, resilience and unwavering gallantry, since her enlistment into the force.

Rising through the rungs of the Police hierarchy, from her days as Cadet ASP in 2002 to her present statuesque which to a large extent is known as crisis manager’s headache due to its location; Okuwobi has made a statement that a woman can exist in a male dominated field like the police force and make a noticeable difference.

Okuwobi who now reigns outstandingly, surmounting hurdles, at her current beat, served as Divisional Crime Officer, before providence warranted her promotion and placement as DPO.

No one can however gainsay, judging by her portfolio of exploits in crime detection, prevention and subsequent prosecution of criminal elements who previously held residents in the jugular, causing them sleepless nights; that CSP Okuwobi is poised for excellence.

Unassuming but inflexible, CSP Okuwobi remains very determined on her oars, as she seems to be unconscious of her tall records. Instead, she vehemently struggles to surpass attainments as far as crime fighting in the interest of safety and security is concerned.
In recent times, she has made her division a no-go-area for sundry criminals bursting actions. To mention but a few, she ensured the foiling of the Access bank bursting robbery at NNPC Junction that led to the arrest of the robbery kingpin and recovery of pistol/ammunition; the smashing of the ‘No Case’ robbery gang that terrorised Ejigbo and her environs; Arrest of human traffickers with stolen baby at Jakande Junction; rescue and arrest of fake and randy pastor in Ailegun-Ejigbo; arrest of fake nurses and baby sellers. Mrs. Florence Nkem Douglas and her cohort, Gift Michael; nabbing of deadly hemp smoker/thief; arrest of several cultists on the day of 7/7 celebration; arrest of serial defiler of teenagers Evangelist Prince Ezumart Chizemdare, founder of Jesus Intervention.

Ensuring these feats and more even in her position as DPO at this division appears to be fanning the embers of productivity in a never-say-die, CSP Okuwobi who is an avowed enemy of agents of crime and merchants of criminality, as she restlessly hunts for criminals even beyond the frontiers of her division.

Happily married, Okuwobi Olabisi Oluseyi was born in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State. A Nigerian of the Christian Faith, she attended St. Augustine Catholic Primary School between 1982 and 1987; Muslim Girls High School, Ijebu-Ode between 1987 and 1992; Ogun State University, Ago-Iwoye; between 1995 and 2000 and The University of Ibadan, Ibadan, between 2008 and 2010, respectively.

Consequent upon her academic pursuit, she bagged the First School Leaving Certificate; Secondary School Certificate; Bachelor of Arts (B.A) English Language and Masters of Arts (M.A) in Peace and Conflict Studies. She is presently pursuing a Doctorate in Diaspora and Transnational Studies.

She was Deputy Police Public Relations Officer; Head of Police, Delta State NYSC Camp; Delta State PPRO; Divisional Police Officer, Out-Benue State Command; Benue State PPRO; Oyo State PPRO; Business Development And Research Officer/Public Relations Officer/Officer-in-Charge of Computer Section, Nigeria Police Cooperative Multi-purpose Society Ltd; Divisional Crime/Police Officer, Ejigbo Division, Lagos State Versatile and versed, she remains a member of International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP): National Association of Women Law Enforcement Executives: National Association of Black Law Executives: International Association of Women Police: Nigerian Institute of Public Relations etc.

CSP. Olabisi Okuwobi competed with other foreign nationals in a high powered United Nations Interview for United Nations Public Information Officer (UNPOLPIO). After both oral and computer based assessment, Officer Olabisi emerged the best and thus was named the UNPOL PIO for UNMIL.

A multi-award winner as the most innovative officer of this age as she explored her public relations skill to warm her way into the heart of a giant finance company who in appreciation of the good work undertake to build over 10million naira worth of a modern storey building singlehandedly for the Police in honour of this quintessential lady. With her innovative dexterity, she mobilised her men with cement, granite and sand to rehabilitate huge potholes causing traffic gridlock at Biliaminu Akinsanya road, off NNPC Ejigbo road. A builder in police uniform presently mobilising members of her community to complete the demolished PCRC hall.
CSP Okuwobi’s guiding philosophy is the golden rule, “Do unto others what you what to be done to you.”
