In a bid to ensure the ease of doing business, particularly during partial lockdown ordered by the Federal and Lagos State Governments aimed at curbing the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic, the Lagos State Public Procurement Agency (PPA) has issued new Guidelines for registration, renewal and upgrade of registration of Contractors, Suppliers and Consultants with the Agency.

Speaking to newsmen in Alausa, the Agency’s General Manager, Mr Fatai Idowu Onafowote said the Agency released the guidelines to further enhance the State Government’s policy on ease of doing business in the state.

Onafowote pointed out that since Government must continue to provide services to the people despite the partial lockdown, the Agency has developed a creative system that would enable existing and potential Contractors, Suppliers and Consultants to continue transactions with the government.

He noted that the guidelines provide details of the steps for registration, renewal or upgrade by Contactors, Suppliers and Consultants of the Agency, stressing that the law makes it mandatory for Contractors, Suppliers and Consultants to register for eligibility to participate in bids for the award of contracts in any Ministry, Department or Agency of the State Government.

The General Manager added that the guidelines also list the steps to follow for the payment of Development Levy, Administrative and Agreement fees.

He disclosed that details of the Guidelines and the Payment Categorisation Tables can be accessed on the Agency’s Website: www.lagosppa.gov.ng and will also be published in The Nation Newspapers on Wednesday, May 20, 2020.
