COVID-19: Isolo Council Boss distributes sanitizers to constituents … As Osolo’s Palace Gets Fumigated

In furtherance of his effort at curtailing the spread of Coronavirus in his council area, the Isolo LCDA boss, Hon Shamsudeen Abiodun Olaleye has distributed a total of 3,500 hand sanitizers to residents of the council area.

Those who benefitted from the council boss largesse include CDC/CDAs, market men and women, councillors
on behalf of their respective wards, police and other security apparatus, artisans, Osolo’s palace and the households of the Baales.

Hon Olaleye said the sanitizers would help promote personal hygiene, which is a major requirement for checkmating the spread of COVID-19.

In his words, “this is one of our humble measures to curtail the spread of Coronavirus in our council area. We have sensitized the populace on the menace of this dreaded disease and the various ways to curtail its spread.

“Now we have followed it up by distributing hand sanitizers to our people to help them promote personal hygiene, which we hope would help in no small measure at stopping the spread of Corona Virus,” the council chairman intoned.

In similar vein, the fumigation exercise of social public infrastructure was carried out on Thursday April 2, 2020 and extended to the Osolo’s palace and the households of the Baales in the various communities of Isolo LCDA.

The fumigation exercise which was jointly led by the Supervisor for Environment and Infrastructure, Hon Saheed Abiodun and the HOD of Health and Environmental Services, Sanitarian Oluwakemi Lamidi saw the Osolo’s palace being thoroughly cleansed with anti-bacteria agents.

Speaking on the exercise, Hon. Abiodun said the fumigation of Osolo’s palace and the households of the Baales became necessary because of the number of visitors the traditional rulers receive on a daily.

The fumigation team also visited Ilasamaja and Cele Markets where de-contamination and disinfection of shops, stalls and the surroundings were also carried out.
